These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the website operated by The Hot Takes (“we”, “us”, “our”) and outline the general terms under which we provide live entertainment services for weddings, private events, and corporate functions.

By using our website or booking our services, you agree to these Terms.

2. About Us

The Hot Takes is a professional wedding and function band providing live music entertainment across the UK.

3. Website Use

You agree to use this website lawfully and not to:

  • Misuse or interfere with website functionality

  • Attempt unauthorised access

  • Submit false or misleading booking enquiries

All website content is provided for general information purposes.

4. Booking Enquiries

Submitting a contact form or enquiry:

  • Does not constitute a confirmed booking

  • Does not create a legally binding contract

A booking is only confirmed once:

  • Availability is confirmed in writing, and

  • A booking agreement is signed (if applicable), and

  • A deposit has been received (where required)

Full performance details, fees, timings, and technical requirements will be agreed separately in writing.

5. Fees and Payment

Performance fees will be agreed in advance.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure the date

  • The remaining balance must be paid prior to the event date

Failure to pay within agreed timelines may result in cancellation of services.

6. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide safe access to the venue

  • Ensure adequate space and appropriate power supply

  • Comply with venue noise restrictions and curfews

  • Inform us of any venue limitations in advance

The client is responsible for any damage caused by guests or venue conditions that affect equipment.

7. Cancellations

Cancellation terms will be outlined in your individual booking agreement.

In general:

  • Deposits are non-refundable

  • Cancellation close to the event date may require partial or full payment

If we must cancel due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., illness, emergency), we will:

  • Attempt to provide a suitable replacement band, or

  • Refund payments received (excluding circumstances outside our reasonable control)

8. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather

  • Government restrictions

  • Venue closure

  • Power failure

  • Illness or accident

9. Equipment and Technical Requirements

We will provide our own standard performance equipment unless otherwise agreed.

The client must ensure:

  • A suitable performance area

  • Stable power supply

  • Adequate shelter for outdoor performances

We reserve the right to refuse performance if conditions pose a safety risk.

10. Intellectual Property

All promotional materials, recordings, images, branding, and website content remain the property of The Hot Takes.

Clients may not record, reproduce, or commercially distribute performances without prior written permission.

We may use event photographs or video clips for promotional purposes unless agreed otherwise in writing.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Hot Takes shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential loss

  • Loss of profit or business

  • Event cancellation costs beyond the performance fee

Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

12. Privacy

Any personal information provided through booking enquiries will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR requirements.

13. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The latest version will be published on our website.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
